My new album AMA is the result of years of research and meaningful collaborations, opening an exciting new chapter in my artistic trajectory and international projection.
I feel very fortunate to be considered one of the most recognized and groundbreaking voices in contemporary music in Spain. Based in Barcelona, I combine my work as a songwriter—merging avant-pop, electronics, and traditional polyphonic music—with projects exploring sound, technology, and art. My work has received widespread critical acclaim and numerous awards, including the Premi Ciutat de Barcelona (2017), the Ojo Crítico Award (2018), Premio Ruido (2022), Premi Continuarà RTVE (2024), an Honorary Mention at the Ars Electronica S+T+ARTS Prize 2024, and the Gaudí Film Award (2025), among others.
I've had the privilege of performing at major festivals and on international stages. In 2025, I previewed new music at Sónar and performed at venues such as the CERN Art and Science Summit, the Venice Dance Biennale, and festivals including Romaeuropa and Iceland Airwaves.
As a composer, I have developed interdisciplinary works such as Flors de veu (2025), AIR (Venice Biennale of Architecture, 2021), and SIRENA (2022), as well as co-directed Cada capa de l’Atmosfera (CCCB), nominated for two ONDAS Awards. In 2024, I presented Maria CHOIR, an installation featuring AI-generated vocal models developed during my residency at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, later shown at Ars Electronica in Linz.
As part of a longstanding collaboration, I have worked closely with choreographer Marcos Morau, composing for pieces such as Afanador, Sonoma, and La mort i la primavera, in which I also perform with La Veronal. I am currently composing Kinkaku-ji, premiering in Tokyo in 2026.
In 2024, I also composed the award-winning soundtrack for Polvo serán and contributed music to La Virgen Roja, which was nominated for best song at the Goya Awards.
This research and years of prolific collaborations culminate in my first solo full-length album AMA (Atlantic Records), released in 2026 to wide critical and public acclaim, marking a new chapter in my artistic trajectory and international projection.
